Rocketry
Level 1
I have achieved a Level 1 certification in rocketry, recognized internationally by model rocketry associations such as Tripoli international and the Australian Model Rocket Society. 'Romulus' flew to just over 3000 ft. returning safely under a single parachute.
I attained my Level 2 certification shortly after reaching Level 1. This rocket, 'Death Star' flew to just over 4000 ft. carrying a telemetry package of my own design. This rocket provided real time inertial and location data in the first test flight of this telemetry PCB. This rocket used a two stage recovery system with a main parachute deploying at apogee and a drogue parachute being released at 600 ft. above ground level.
Safety
I am a certified Launch Control Officer (LCO) and Range Safety Officer (RSO), two separate roles recognised internationally. In my capacity as an RSO I am responsible for ensuring that rockets are built, prepared and launched safely. As an LCO I am responsible for ensuring the sky and range are clear, while keeping all those in attendance safe during a launch event.
MOnash HPR
As a member of HPR, I have been a part of a team that has created 4 large scale rockets for the Australian Universities Rocket Competition. Monash HPR's entries have scored well in previous years, with a runners up in the 30,000 ft. category of the inaugural competition.
